Terms of Sale

A one-off, made-to-order twenty-page magazine about one person, created from the memories, photographs and contributions you and your invited colleagues supply. The Printed Issue ($89 USD) is one printed, magazine-bound copy, shipping included, with a digital copy delivered by private link as soon as the proof is approved. Prices are founding prices, held for our first twenty issues; the price shown at checkout is the price you pay — no add-ons.

Before you pay, you tell us the farewell date. If we can comfortably print and ship in time, we accept the order on that basis. If we cannot, we tell you before you pay: you may still order, in which case the digital copy is ready for the farewell and the printed issue arrives afterwards. You confirm at checkout that you understand the printed copy will arrive after the date (the “late-print acknowledgement”). If, after acceptance, an event outside our control makes the date impossible, we will tell you immediately and you may choose a full refund or delivery on a revised timeline.

You approve twice: the artistic direction early (you may switch editions at this stage at no cost), and the complete final proof before anything is printed or delivered. Nothing is printed or delivered without your final approval. Fact and wording corrections are free — always at the fact level, and within reason for wording. Repeated full rewrites of approved content are not covered.

Every fact in the issue comes from what you and your contributors tell us. We never invent memories, quotes or facts; we never alter what people look like; we never fake handwriting or signatures. Writing and design technology is used under editorial rules with human review — you approve the result before it is final.

You confirm that you have the right to share the photographs and information you supply, that contributors are invited with honest context, and that the issue is for personal, non-commercial use. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you approve at the final proof.

The stories, photographs and contributions you supply remain yours. The finished issue is for you and the retiree to keep, share and print for personal use. We retain ownership of our page designs, templates and editorial system. We do not use your issue or its contents in our marketing without your written permission.

Digital delivery is by private link. Printed issues ship to the address you give us, timed to arrive before the farewell date you set unless you gave a late-print acknowledgement at checkout. In that case, we tell you the expected arrival window. See the Refund Policy for what happens if printing or shipping goes wrong.

Contributions arriving after the issue has gone to print are delivered to you digitally.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be excluded — including, for New Zealand consumers, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, and equivalent protections elsewhere. If a term here conflicts with a right you have by law, the law wins.

Our total liability for any order is capped at the amount you paid for it, except where law does not allow that cap. We are not liable for the content of contributions written by people you invite.
